Miss Zoë Woodward is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at East Kent Health Authority NHS Foundation Trust. She is also the clinical lead for the acute gynaecology service and early pregnancy unit. Since 2015 she has been the college tutor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaeoclogists looking after the training doctors within East Kent and the Training Programme Director for Health Education Kent Surrey and Sussex.
She specialises in assessing, diagnosing and treating common gynaecological complaints such as:
- Abnormal bleeding
- Pelvic pain
- Abnormal cervical smears (colposcopy)
- Early miscarriage
- Vulval pain
- Endometriosis
- Female sterilisation
- Ovarian cysts
- Prolapse
- Fibroids
Zoë is an expert and has gained further qualifications in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery (keyhole), colposcopy (assessment and treatment of abnormal smears), vulvoscopy (assessing vulval and vaginal symptoms), and early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound.
Where possible treatment is minimally invasive or 'keyhole' allowing for a quicker return to normal activities and a shorter hospital stay.
Private patients are seen and treated at the BMI Chaucer hospital, Canterbury and at One Ashford Hospital.
